Spring in Idaho

 Our neighbors sheep have been grazing in our field. We love looking out at them.

 Spring has been beautiful! Everything was in bloom.

 And there were SO many tulips!

 I finally put up the plate wall that I had been planning.

 Having the sheep and alpacas in our field means we get the manure.

March Marches On

 During spring break we enjoyed a day of hiking...

 ...and visited the Old Penitentiary.

 We also spent a night in a tiny cabin at Bruneau Dunes State Park. It was a cold, clear night, and we enjoyed finding many of the constellations we have studied this year.

You can't really tell but the dune behind is more of a mountain, really. it is the highest sand dune in North America... and we climbed it.

Goings On

 Matt & Morgan working on an electronics project.

 We saw the Lego Movie and it was awesome!

 Morgan hand copied a map of Middle Earth.

 Matt built these incredible built in bookshelves.

 We ordered seeds and planted early crops like broccoli, beets, onions, carrots, lettuce, spinach, sugar snap peas, and brussel sprouts.

Both kids started training to run a one mile race. This is the day Emma first ran a mile with no stops.
