Morgan actually accomplished this last week but we decided to wait until the Thanksgiving post was up. Here Morgan is, unprompted and unaided, spelling his name. Now we just have to get him to say it right.

Thanksgiving Photo Blowout!
First if all, let me just warn you that you are about to view a TON of photos- and this is actually just a selection from the many I took over the holiday. It was our family's first Thanksgiving gathering at my parents' house in Abilene. We had a great time cooking, eating, playing in the Texas snow, shopping, and relaxing.
Morgan played games with the big boys...
...while the women prepared the feast.
And, as you can see, Morgan did his fair share...
Emma got plenty of love and praise for being the cutest
She was pretty happy about her 1st Thanksgiving
After the meal, we played in the snow... Morgan wasn't too impressed
And, finally, we watched a little football

My First 5K/Emma's 6-month-Bday/Thanksgiving craft time
After 10 years of running, I finally did my first 5K with my friend Jennifer. She was the one who encouraged me to sign up. We had a great time, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next time!
Also included in this post is a random shot of Morgan's "writing". He has been trying to make all kinds of letters, numbers, and shapes as well as write the names of friends and family. We are pretty amazed by it!
And now for some pictures of our little Emma on her 6-month-birthday. She continues to bring us so much delight!
Finally, here are Morgan and Fernando making a Thanksgiving turkey craft.

Holy Fall Festival Batman!
Last night, we dressed up the kids for the Fall festival at church. They looked so cute as Batman and Batgirl. Morgan played lots of games, and indulged in 4 pieces of candy- his very first! However, I think the highlight of the evening was when he spotted the play kitchen in the corner of one of the rooms. That boy does love a play kitchen! Anyway, we saw the Goodman herd at the festival and attempted a photo. As you can see, it was a little crazy. But at least we got something. It was a fun night.
