Morgan's 1st Stitches

Morgan had an accident outside this evening that resulted in 3 stitches to his lower lip. He was pretty traumatized after being strapped down for 45 minutes. Here he is... it's kinda grisly...

Working outdoors

We've got Morgan earning his keep now. Here he is helping to prune our backyard trees. He was really more interested in pulling on the cord than anything else. Emma didn't help; she just watched from her blanket. They both enjoyed their first time outside in many days- it's been so cold here!

Morgan's Daily Exercise

Everyday, unless it's too cold, Morgan goes out for a little jog up and down our street. He runs to the end of one side, we look both ways to cross our street, he runs to the end of the other side (stopping a few times to examine certain items), we cross again, and he runs all the way back to our house. The whole way he shouts "run!" and "fast!"
Here he is just starting out...

He always stops to examine and discuss his shadow.

Then he breezes past me...

It's so refreshing!

And here's a random, cute picture of Emma that I took last night in the tub. She really looks like her brother here.

Morgan and Emma Play at the Table

Emma is just now getting old enough to start playing with Morgan a little bit. As you can see, she thinks everything he does is hilarious.

Old stuff, new stuff

It's been so long since we last posted! So we've got some old stuff (pictures from the New Year's Eve party with our life group) and some new stuff (pictures of the kids wrestling with their Daddy). We'll try to keep up a little better from now on. The pictures just pile up so fast.

Here are some of the ladies in our group: (L-R) Jaclyn, Lindsay, Loralee, and Melissa

A candid shot of some of the other people in our group: Cody, Julie & Jason with their son Kyler and our daughter Emma, and Nick.

We totally exploited the two-year-olds for a cute picture! This is the perfect blackmail photo.

It's a pile up!

Emma gets full mount on her Daddy- she's a jiu-jitsu prodigy.

Morgan won't be outdone by his sister.

And here's a sleeping baby shot, just for fun.

Christmas comes but once a year...

Or does it? This year we enjoyed 5, that's right, 5 Christmas celebrations. Our poor kids are probably so confused! We had our own family Christmas here in Midland followed by Christmas with the Matthews family at the lake house in Belton (both previously posted). Then it was on to another celebration with Papa Wes, Gigi, Kate, and Matt P. in Liberty Hill. And then there was the Griffin gathering at the Roost (in Canyon Lake). Finally, the festivities culminated with a brief stop at the Motz house in Abilene. With that, our tour of the state was concluded! Here are just a few of the many, many shots take in Liberty Hill, Canyon Lake, and Abilene.
