Farm Progress

Matt remodeled the existing shed/barn to make a big chicken coop

Nesting boxes and roosting perch
Here we are just getting started...
The first plants in the ground
We're getting 2 eggs a day so far...the other 4 hens should start laying in a month or so.
These hoops allow us to cover the beds with bird net or with row covers to extend the season into colder weather.
Things are really growing nicely now...
We have tomatoes, zucchini, squash, beans, beets, carrots, cantaloupe, corn, lettuce, mixed greens, and some cover crops mixed in too....the mixed greens are ready to make a salad already!
 My first time out digging!
